Creation Iconography
Creation Iconography is a genre of biblical iconography that specifically represents visual motifs, symbols, and artistic depictions derived from narratives and themes of cosmogony and the divine act of creation as described in scriptural texts, distinguished from other forms of biblical iconography by its focused portrayal of creation ex nihilo, the primordial ordering of chaos, and the divine sovereignty over the natural world.
