CpG Island Sequence Composition is a genomic sequence construct defined by a region of DNA characterized by a high frequency of cytosine-guanine dinucleotides relative to the rest of the genome, typically distinguished by elevated GC content, observed-to-expected CpG ratio, and its association with gene regulatory regions.
