Countertransference Supervision

Countertransference Supervision is a formal supervisory process within clinical training in which the supervisor guides the supervisee in recognizing, understanding, and managing emotional and relational reactions that arise in therapy due to the therapist’s unresolved internal conflicts, distinguishing it from general clinical supervision by focusing specifically on the therapist’s countertransference as a source of both counterproductive interference and therapeutic insight.
