Core Reflooding

Core Reflooding is a thermal-hydraulic safety analysis process that involves the controlled re-entrainment of coolant into an overheated reactor core following partial or complete uncovering, distinguished by its specific focus on reversing core heat-up conditions through the resumption of liquid contact cooling during severe accident scenarios.
