Coptic Origins

Coptic Origins is a scholarly framework that identifies and analyzes the historical, linguistic, and cultural antecedents of the Coptic language and Christian tradition in Roman Egypt, distinguishing itself from broader Egyptological or Late Antique studies by focusing specifically on the emergence and development of Coptic identity within the socio-political context of Roman rule.
