Cool Jazz
Cool Jazz is a style and genre of modern jazz that emerged in the United States after World War II as a reaction to bebop, characterized by relaxed tempos, lighter and more subdued tone colors, greater emphasis on composed arrangements and ensemble texture, and frequent incorporation of formal and harmonic elements derived from European classical music.
