Contour Current Sedimentation

Contour Current Sedimentation is a geological sedimentation process in which sediments are transported and deposited along the seafloor by persistent, bottom-trapped oceanic currents that follow isobaths, distinguished from other sedimentation mechanisms by its reliance on deep-water contour-following currents driven by thermohaline circulation.
