Consignment Inventory

Consignment Inventory is an inventory management and supply chain arrangement in which a consignor (supplier) places goods at a consignee’s (retailer’s) location for sale while retaining legal ownership until the goods are sold to the end customer, with the consignee remitting payment only for units sold and typically having the option to return unsold stock.
