Concept Annotation

Concept Annotation is a scholarly contribution at the document level, such as a method, model, framework, theory, construct, dataset, task, or metric, that explicitly identifies and labels conceptual elements within a text in accordance with a defined schema or ontology, thereby distinguishing it from other types of academic contributions by its focus on semantic categorization and representational structure.
