Compound Nucleus Fission
Compound Nucleus Fission is a nuclear reaction process in which a compound nucleus, formed by the absorption of an incident particle by a target nucleus, undergoes fission as a result of the redistribution of excitation energy among its nucleons, distinguishing it from direct nuclear reactions by its intermediate, equilibrated state.
