Composite Envelope Materials
Composite Envelope Materials is a building envelope material system that consists of two or more chemically distinct constituents combined at a macroscopic level to achieve enhanced thermomechanical performance, wherein the constituent materials retain their individual physical identities while functioning synergistically to resist environmental loads, moisture transfer, and thermal bridging more effectively than conventional homogeneous materials.
