Composite Curves

Composite Curves is a graphical thermodynamic representation used in heat integration that distinguishes itself within the class of process synthesis tools by depicting the cumulative heating and cooling demands of hot and cold process streams as piecewise linear functions of temperature, enabling the identification of process-specific energy recovery targets and pinch points in Heat Exchanger Network Design.
