Competing Reductive Elimination

Competing Reductive Elimination is a reaction pathway in organometallic chemistry that, under certain catalytic conditions, occurs in preference to beta-hydride elimination by involving the simultaneous coupling of two ligands bound to a metal center to form a new bond, thereby reducing the metal oxidation state and releasing the coupled product from the coordination sphere.
