Compartmental Matrices

Compartmental Matrices is a mathematical construct in linear compartmental systems theory that refers to a square matrix whose off-diagonal entries are non-negative, representing inflows between compartments, and whose diagonal entries are the negative sum of the corresponding column’s off-diagonal elements, ensuring mass conservation in continuous-time linear models.
