Color Term Perception is a cognitive linguistic construct that refers to the phenomenon whereby the lexical categories of color terms in a language influence the perceptual discrimination and categorization of color spectra by its speakers, distinguishing it from general color perception through its dependence on linguistic categorization rather than purely physiological or psychophysical mechanisms.
