Collisionless Dynamics

Collisionless Dynamics is a theoretical framework within galactic dynamics that models the evolution of stellar systems under the assumption that individual stars interact only through large-scale gravitational potentials rather than through direct two-body collisions, thereby enabling the application of statistical and continuum mechanics to N-body systems.
