Cold Start Testing

Cold Start Testing is a specialized experimental procedure within engine and powertrain testing that evaluates the performance, emissions, and reliability of a propulsion system during initial ignition under low-temperature conditions, distinguishing itself from other testing procedures by focusing on transient thermal and mechanical behavior at startup when the system is thermally uncoupled and lubricants are at minimal flow efficiency.
