Cofactor-dependent Reductive Reactions

Cofactor-Dependent Reductive Reactions is a biochemical process in which the reduction of a substrate is catalyzed through the transfer of electrons from a specific cofactor, thereby distinguishing it from cofactor-independent reductions by its obligatory reliance on a non-protein organic or inorganic cofactor to facilitate redox transformations within metabolic pathways.
