Coevolutionary Redundancy
Coevolutionary Redundancy is a theoretical construct in host coevolution that denotes the presence of multiple, functionally equivalent evolutionary pathways or interactions within a system, such that the loss or failure of one coevolutionary trajectory does not necessarily disrupt the overall adaptive reciprocity between host and symbiont species.
