Cochlear Summating Potential

Cochlear Summating Potential is a direct current (DC) electrical potential generated by the cochlea in response to acoustic stimulation, primarily reflecting the asymmetrical displacement of the hair cell transduction channels and the nonlinear rectification properties of the outer hair cells, distinguishing it from other cochlear microphonic components by its sustained voltage shift during stimulation.
