About

Cochlear development is the complex biological process by which the cochlea, the spiral-shaped auditory organ of the inner ear, forms and matures. As a research field, it investigates the molecular, cellular, and genetic mechanisms that orchestrate the morphogenesis, cellular differentiation, and establishment of neuronal circuitry necessary for functional hearing.
