Cloud Charge Separation

Cloud Charge Separation is a physical process in atmospheric electricity whereby electrical charges within a cloud are distributed into distinct regions of positive and negative polarity through mechanisms driven by microphysical interactions among hydrometeors, distinguishing it from external electrification processes by originating entirely within the cloud's internal dynamics.
