Clos Network Architectures

Clos Network Architectures is a scalable, multi-stage interconnection network topology in the class of non-blocking or reconfigurable networks that distinguishes itself by organizing switches into a hierarchical three-stage structure—ingress, middle, and egress—where multiple lower-capacity switches replace a single, high-capacity crossbar to achieve cost-effective, high-bandwidth communication in cloud data center fabrics.
