Clitic Deletion is a syntactic phenomenon in which a clitic, belonging to the class of function morphemes that depend phonologically on a host word, is systematically omitted in specific grammatical or discourse contexts, distinguishing it from other clitic-related operations by its irreversible and obligatory nature in certain linguistic environments.
