Class I Protostars

Class I Protostar is a young stellar object in the early stage of protostellar evolution characterized by a centrally condensed core enshrouded in a dense envelope of gas and dust, where the spectral energy distribution exhibits a rising continuum in the infrared due to dominant emission from the surrounding envelope, distinguishing it from less embedded stages such as Class II and Class III objects.
