Chromophore Encapsulation

Chromophore Encapsulation is a supramolecular strategy in cucurbituril chemistry wherein a chromophoric guest is selectively sequestered within the hydrophobic cavity of a cucurbituril macrocycle, thereby modulating its photophysical and chemical properties through confinement effects and host-guest interactions.
