Chromophore Coupling

Chromophore Coupling is a physical interaction mechanism in which energy transfer between light-absorbing molecular units is mediated by quantum mechanical coupling, distinguished from other energy transfer processes by its dependence on the spatial and electronic alignment of adjacent chromophores within a photosynthetic or synthetic light-harvesting system.
