Chosen-Ciphertext Attacks is a cryptanalytic attack model in which the attacker, having access to the decryption of arbitrarily selected ciphertexts, exploits this capability to recover the secret key or plaintext, thereby distinguishing it from other attack models by the active selection of ciphertexts under the attacker’s control.
