Chevron Step Two

Chevron Step Two is a judicial doctrine within administrative law that requires a court, after determining under Chevron Step One that a statute is ambiguous with respect to the specific issue, to defer to a federal agency’s permissible interpretation of that statute, provided the interpretation is reasonable and falls within the scope of the agency’s delegated authority.
