Charge-dependent Permeation

Charge-Dependent Permeation is a permeation mechanism in pulmonary drug delivery wherein the translocation of molecules across respiratory epithelial barriers is selectively influenced by the electrostatic charge of the permeant, distinguishing it from passive diffusion processes that are primarily governed by lipid solubility and molecular size.
