Charge Decoupling
Charge Decoupling is a blasting technique in tunnel engineering where the explosive charge is intentionally undersized relative to the borehole diameter, creating an annular gap that reduces peak pressure and mitigates rock damage by decoupling the energy transmission between the charge and the surrounding medium.
