Central Schemes

Central Schemes is a class of finite volume methods for hyperbolic conservation laws that employ symmetric stencils and avoid the use of Riemann solvers by reconstructing fluxes at cell interfaces through central differencing, thus distinguishing itself from upwind schemes by its reliance on local averaging rather than characteristic information.
