Cellulose Esterification
Cellulose Esterification is a chemical modification reaction in which hydroxyl groups of the cellulose polymer are substituted with ester moieties through the formation of covalent ester linkages, typically via reaction with carboxylic acid derivatives, anhydrides, or acid chlorides, thereby altering the physicochemical properties of the biopolymer.
