Celestial Reference Frames

Celestial Reference Frame is a coordinate system of astronomical positional measurements that defines the directions to celestial objects relative to a set of fundamental reference points, typically realized through precise astrometric observations of extragalactic radio sources or stars, to enable consistent orbit determination, ground-based astrometry, and absolute astrometry within a standardized inertial framework.
