Catalytic Acylation

Catalytic Acylation is a chemical reaction process in the class of acylation reactions wherein a catalyst facilitates the formation of acyl derivatives—such as esters, amides, or ketones—from carboxylic acids or their derivatives by enhancing the electrophilicity of the carbonyl carbon and enabling nucleophilic attack under milder conditions than stoichiometric methods.
