Casing Erosion

Casing Erosion is a degradation mechanism characterized by the progressive removal of material from the inner surface of a wellbore casing due to the abrasive action of high-velocity fluids, sand, or particulate matter flowing through the tubing, distinguishing it from other forms of casing damage by its hydrodynamic and mechanical wear origin.
