Case Alignment
Case Alignment is a linguistic alignment typology that categorizes arguments of verbs by assigning case markers to nominal phrases according to grammatical roles such as subject, object, and indirect object, distinguishing it from alternative alignment systems like ergative-absolutive or active-stative by its reliance on morphological case to signal syntactic function.
