Carrier-based Modulation
Carrier-Based Modulation is a pulse-width modulation technique in which a high-frequency carrier waveform is compared with a reference signal to generate switching signals for power semiconductor devices in multilevel converters, thereby determining the output voltage levels through the relative amplitude of the reference with respect to the carrier.
