Capital Lock-In is a financial mechanism in cooperative enterprises whereby member-contributed capital is restricted from withdrawal during the operational life of the cooperative, thereby ensuring long-term funding stability while distinguishing it from other forms of equity by prioritizing collective sustainability over individual liquidity.
