Call Improvisation
Call Improvisation is a vocal improvisational technique in which a lead performer spontaneously generates a musical phrase or vocal utterance—serving as the "call"—that is immediately answered by a responsive improvisation from one or more other performers, thereby establishing an interactive, real-time dialogue within an improvised musical structure.
