Burin Technology
Burin Technology is a lithic reduction technique in Palaeolithic archaeology characterized by the production of specialized stone tools with a chisel-like edge, primarily used for engraving or carving, distinguished from other flintknapping methods by its use of a punch-and-pressure method to detach narrow, prismatic spalls for precise working of hard materials.
