Breastfeeding Behavior
Breastfeeding Behavior is a multidimensional maternal-infant interaction pattern constituting a biological and behavioral process characterized by the infant’s suckling at the breast for nutrient intake and immunological benefit, differentiated from other infant feeding behaviors by its specificity to human milk transfer through direct mammary gland contact and its embeddedness in dyadic physiological and emotional regulation.
