Blocking Temperature

Blocking Temperature is the critical temperature below which the magnetic moments of a ferromagnetic or ferrimagnetic nanoparticle become fixed in direction due to anisotropy energy barriers, preventing thermal relaxation and thereby enabling the stable retention of remanent magnetization in the context of exchange bias materials, rock magnetism, and paleomagnetic recording.
