Bloch Wave Analysis

Bloch Wave Analysis is a mathematical framework in periodic structure analysis that characterizes electromagnetic wave propagation in periodic media through the eigenmode decomposition of fields based on Bloch’s theorem, which asserts that the solution in an infinite periodic system takes the form of a plane wave modulated by a lattice-periodic function.
