Black Trans Studies

Black Trans Studies is an interdisciplinary subfield of Black studies and trans studies that analyzes the lives, histories, cultural productions, and political struggles of Black transgender and gender-nonconforming people in order to theorize how blackness, gender variance, sexuality, and intersecting structures of power mutually constitute one another.
