Bit Aggressiveness
Bit Aggressiveness is a mechanical design metric in drill bit engineering that characterizes the extent to which a drill bit’s cutting structure is configured to engage the formation with high penetration rate and low weight-on-bit, differentiating it from less aggressive designs that prioritize stability and wear resistance over rate of penetration.
