Biosecurity Engineering
Biosecurity Engineering is a subfield of aquacultural engineering that applies engineering principles to the design, implementation, and management of systems, infrastructure, and operational protocols that prevent, control, and mitigate biological risks—such as pathogen introduction, spread, and persistence—in aquaculture operations to safeguard aquatic organism health, environmental quality, and production performance.
