Bioevent Stratigraphy

Bioevent Stratigraphy is a biostratigraphic method that defines and correlates stratigraphic intervals based on the synchronous occurrence of specific, identifiable biological events—such as the first or last appearance of a taxon—distinguishing it from other biozone-based approaches by focusing on discrete event horizons rather than taxon ranges or assemblages.
