Biochemical Remission
Biochemical Remission is a clinical outcome criterion in autoimmune liver disease treatment characterized by the normalization of elevated liver enzymes, particularly alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase, in the absence of symptoms and without histological worsening, thereby distinguishing it from complete or histological remission which require additional pathological or immunological normalization.
