Binary Vector Systems

Binary Vector Systems is a specialized plasmid-based genetic engineering tool in plant transformation that consists of two compatible plasmids—one carrying the gene of interest flanked by T-DNA borders and the other harboring the virulence genes necessary for T-DNA transfer—enabling efficient, stable integration of exogenous DNA into the plant genome via Agrobacterium-mediated delivery.
